As Atwell Ford’s Transaction Specialist, Karen Neitz helps clients who are under contract feel confident and supported throughout the buying process. She gets the most joy from providing quality client care and nurturing long lasting relationships with clients. In her role, Karen keeps buyers informed and provides a smooth home buying experience by answering any questions and meeting whatever needs arise during the transaction. She loves being a part of a team where everyone contributes their talents, experiences, and perspectives and where those contributions are recognized and valued.
Karen has lived in a lot of places, including Massachusetts and California, before moving to the Winston-Salem area in 2002. She loves how there is always something new to discover, from coffee shops and bakeries, to art galleries and florists. She also appreciates the aesthetics of the city, its architecture and history. Karen earned her preschool teacher certification from Dean College. Later, she was certified as a Parents as Teachers advocate. She worked as an advocate for eight years, empowering parents to understand child development and prepare their children for school, before transitioning to real estate. She is a licensed real estate agent and began her real estate career in 2006 as a licensed assistant and office manager. She joined Atwell Ford in 2017, having worked previously with Abby Atwell and Bekah Cooke at another real estate company.
Karen lives in Kernersville, a town just east of Winston-Salem and the city’s biggest suburb. When not exploring the myriad activities and events around Winston-Salem, Karen surrounds herself as much as possible with her four grown children, their significant others, and her eight grandchildren. In her free time, Karen also loves to read, write, paint and do outdoor activities.
