Director of Operations, Co-Founder

“I enjoy taking a task that can feel huge, overwhelming and highly emotional and breaking it into manageable and understandable components. I want to minimize the stress and ‘unknowns’ around such an important life event, so that folks feel peace of mind throughout the process.”

About Bekah Cooke

As Director of Operations, Bekah Cooke (née Ford) oversees the day-to-day operations of Atwell Ford Real Estate, leading the implementation of the group’s vision and goals and providing administrative and strategy support. She is passionate about providing clients with a personal, high-quality real estate experience by helping them take an important and daunting task like buying or selling a home and break it into manageable steps. Bekah partners with the rest of the Atwell Ford team to create a company culture where they work together to further their goals and deliver results for their clients.

A native of Winston-Salem, Bekah (then Ford, now Cooke) moved away in 2000, graduating from the University of Virginia in 2004 and worked in the non-profit sector until she earned a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Southern California in 2008. She spent three years consulting for local governments in the Los Angeles area on issues related to housing, transportation, environment, and public safety. After spending a year abroad in the Netherlands for her husband’s doctoral work, Bekah and her family returned to make Winston-Salem home again in 2014, where she immediately joined Abby Atwell’s team to provide administrative support. She became a licensed Realtor in 2015, and her role in the company has grown since then.

Bekah and her husband, Clay, and their three children live in the West Salem neighborhood of Winston-Salem. They enjoy living in proximity to downtown, being outdoors, and spending time with family, friends, and neighbors. You can find them walking everywhere–to the farmers market, baseball games, the library and West Salem Public House, their favorite neighborhood coffee shop and pub.
