Ardmore
Situated adjacent to downtown and between the city’s two major hospitals, Ardmore boasts a vast array of charming historic homes, tree-lined streets, sidewalks, and landscapes. With over 4,000 homes, it is the largest historic district in the city, known for its variety of Craftsman bungalows, Colonial Revival houses, and American Foursquare residences. West Salem
West Salem is a neighborhood near downtown, just up the hill from Old Salem, a historic attraction retelling the stories of Moravian settlement in the 1700s. Sherwood Forest
This large neighborhood on the westside of town is made up of classic brick two-story and ranch homes situated on spacious lots. Sidewalks and mature trees create a welcoming neighborhood vibe, and there is easy access to shopping centers offering grocery, dining, pharmacies, and more. Situated between main arterial roads, Sherwood Forest is conveniently located, with all parts of town reachable in 15 minutes or less.
Clemmons
Located southwest of Winston-Salem city limits, the village of Clemmons offers a small town feel with amenities for the convenience of daily life, including dining, grocery stores, medical offices, retail, and entertainment. The area boasts a variety of established walkable neighborhoods with sizable lots. Clemmons is also home to Tanglewood Park, a 1,100 acre property designed for outdoor recreation activities such as golf, biking, horseback riding, and swimming.
Pfafftown
This quaint unincorporated community is located northwest of city limits and adjacent to historic Bethania, a 500-acre historic site that was the first planned Moravian settlement in North Carolina. Pfafftown is a lovely combination of natural, rural beauty and modern convenience. Homes and communities are nestled in the hills that overlook neighboring Yadkin Valley, gorgeous farm and winery country. The area blends old and new. Its settlement roots date back to the 1700s, but it has also welcomed new development communities in recent years.
Lewisville
Known for its small-town ambiance, this community west of Winston-Salem is spread across 14-square miles of rolling hills, farmland, and neighborhoods. With a pedestrian-friendly downtown village square at its center, Lewisville is home to approximately 13,000 residents. Residents enjoy visiting the community playgrounds and nature parks, dining at local restaurants, and convenient grocery and retail options.
